Cuttings boards

Cutting boards are a staple in my woodworking shop. I always enjoy the different designs that can come from the different species of hardwood. All boards in my shop are made with top quality kiln dried domestic and exotic hardwoods and then finished with 2 coats of 100% food safe tung oil and my very own  Morris Board Butter mixture of organic beeswax and foodsafe mineral oil.

Walnut and Ash endgrain cutting board

Was going for a kind of zebra pattern on this chunky cutting board.

Ombre cutting boards

I find myself very drawn to this style of light to dark. This board is made of white ash, padauk, sepelle, and walnut.

Edge grain stripes

classic neutral colors and style to fit any kitchen. These board made from walnut, sepelle, and curly maple.

Zipper end grain

This board was made from white oak and walnut, a classic combo. The walnut zipper down the center of the board gives it its name. but it doesn't actually unzip even though that would be cool.

Center striped board

Clean design with center stripes of Padauk, purple heart and sepelle surrounded by white ash.

Edge grain

Great combonation of padauk, sepelle, white ash, and thin stripes of walnut. this one was very popular last year and was the first board to sell out.

Classic symmetrical board

Sepelle and white ash together in super symmetry. This one turned out to be one of my favorites the clean lines and chatoyancy from the white ash really make it pop.

Padauk

a padauk only board. plainly showing the raw beauty of this african exotic hardwood.

Big maple mama

big and Beautiful Maple board with just a single strip of walnut down the center. this one was sized specifically for butchering fish.
